How it works

How it works

Five steps, one list of documents, and one person from start to finish.

See if you qualify →No credit check to enquire

Most of the frustration with business loans comes from the paperwork: being asked for one thing, then another, then something you sent last week. We try to cut that out by agreeing up front which paperwork level fits and giving you one list.

  1. 1

    1. Tell us the basics (about a minute)

How much, what it's for, how you're set up and what paperwork you've got. Be honest about anything that's behind. There's no credit check to ask.

  2. 2

    2. One person calls you

Someone who knows business lending reads your answers and rings to fill the gaps. Together you agree which paperwork level fits: no doc, low doc or full doc.

  3. 3

    3. You send only what's needed

You get one list, not a drip-feed of requests. For low doc that's usually bank statements and ID. For no doc it's mostly property details.

  4. 4

    4. The lender assesses and you sign

The lender checks the file, and for property-backed loans orders a valuation and title search. You and any co-owners sign electronically.

  5. 5

    5. Funds are released

Money goes to your business account, or straight to the supplier or the ATO if that's what it's for.

Choosing the paperwork level

On the first call we work out what's carrying the loan. If you have property and your returns are behind, a no doc loan is often simplest. If you're trading steadily without property, a low doc loan on bank statements usually fits. If your returns are lodged, a full doc lender may give you more choice. The paperwork matcher shows the likely answer before you call.

What we don't do

  • We don't publish interest rates or "from" figures.
  • We don't pass your details around a panel of lenders.
  • We don't pretend paperwork doesn't matter. Less paperwork still means real checks, and we'll tell you what they are.

Common questions

Does asking affect my credit score?

No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A check only happens if you decide to go ahead with a specific lender.

Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?

No. One person works on your enquiry and approaches the lender that fits. Your details aren't sprayed across a list.

What if my paperwork is a mess?

Tell us what you have and what's missing. Lots of owners borrow with returns still at the accountant. We'll tell you exactly which documents matter for your route and which don't.

Why does accuracy on the form matter?

Because the paperwork level we suggest depends on it. If something comes up later that changes the picture, we lose time starting again.

Can funds go straight to a supplier or the ATO?

Yes. Paying a supplier, dealer or the ATO directly is common and keeps things simple.
